Welcome to The White Horse Hotel

The White Horse Hotel is a charming establishment located at 5 Beaumont Hill, Darlington, which has quickly become a favored destination for both locals and visitors alike. With a commendable rating of 4.1, the hotel provides a perfect blend of comfort and hospitality, catering to various needs ranging from business travelers to families seeking leisure.

Patrons consistently praise the hotel for its friendly and attentive staff. One guest, Michael Zarins, highlighted how the management exceeded expectations by going above and beyond to meet their needs. This level of service sets a welcoming tone and creates an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and enjoyment.

The culinary offerings at The White Horse Hotel receive high marks as well. Janet, a frequent diner, remarks on the quality of the food, noting that while prices have risen, the dishes remain well-cooked and beautifully presented. The menu is varied and includes delights such as the mouth-watering sizzling chicken served over perfectly grilled vegetables, making it a culinary experience worth indulging in. Guests can also rejoice over reasonably priced drinks, making it an accessible choice for dining out.

Although some changes due to refurbishment have slightly altered the ambiance, many guests feel the updates have improved the seating arrangements, as remarked by James Crook. However, some patrons, like Marie Archer, have noted that the reduced table count has occasionally made it challenging to accommodate the busy crowd. Regardless, guests can expect a lively environment, especially on Sundays when the hotel serves a delightful afternoon tea.

The hotel's location is another standout feature. Positioned near attractions such as Hopetown Darlington and Locomotion, both rated above 4.6 stars, guests have ample opportunities for recreation and sightseeing. Raby Castle, with its stunning views and rich history, is also a short distance away and adds to the local allure.

In summary, The White Horse Hotel elegantly combines a warm atmosphere, delicious food, and superb service. Whether visiting for a weekend getaway or a leisurely meal, it ensures a memorable experience that beckons guests to return time and again. For those seeking a delightful blend of classic hospitality and modern amenities in Darlington, The White Horse Hotel certainly fits the bill.

We regularly eat here, the food is not cheap, prices have risen recently, but always nicely cooked & presented. Frequently discount offers on so well worth a visit. Drinks are reasonably priced too.

Lovely atmosphere, soon as we walked in a lovely smiling lady greeted us and took us to our table, it was Sunday so tea time so not to busy although the football was on the TV there was plenty of quiet tables. A good menu lots to choose from, my partner got a steak with all the trimmings I got sizzling chicken on a bed of beautiful cooked char grilled veggies and a bowl of lovely hot chips we got a desert of apple and black berry crumble with ice cream and a jug of delicious custard the portions were massive , I have got to say it was one of the best meals I have had anyway, so guess what guy's I will be going back quite often and recommending this hotel to family and friends

Very busy, have lost a number of tables due to refurbishment which means it has difficulty accommodating everyone. Preferred previous layout with booths. Now has a person who allocates table at the door rather than customers finding own table. Food arrived within 30 minutes and was better than previously but clearing table didn't happen until ready to leave.
